Soften Your Bod with Avocado

No more rough skin!

Soften Your Bod with Avocado

Take a ripe avocado, remove the pit and skin, and mash it up in a bowl. Slather it all over your body, let it sit for 20 minutes, then rinse off. Your skin will be sooo soft — avocado is a natural moisturizer.

Spring Beauty

This Spring we’re bound to see some new trends – but there will always be those basics we just can’t forget!

Hair: 0901113_sandra_bullock_golden_globes_hair

If you have long hair, opt for natural, loose waves. For shorter hair, high, glossy pony-tails are a must. To get super high shine, use a deep conditioner once a week as well as a hair mask.

Eyes: girl_eyes

Yes, we all love that black eyeliner but just because Spring has sprung doesn’t mean you should toss it. The smoky eye will also be very popular this spring with well contoured eyebrows. Try something new and match your eyeliner to your outfit. For a new twist on the smoky eye, blend black eyeshadow with green, brown or purple.

This spring, go with bold lipstick colors. Think sour cherry and prune colors. Don’t be afraid to make a statement!

Make Your Own Lip Gloss

picture-21

You know how to make your own nail polish, why not make your own lip gloss too?

Here is what you need to gather to make your own lemon lip gloss:

  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 1 T Vitamin E Oil
  • 1 tsp. of Aloe Vera
  • 2 tsp of grated beeswax
  • 1 T pure almond extract
  • 6 Drops of Lemon Essential Oil

Once you have all the essentials, melt the beeswax in a pot or pan, and remove from heat when it’s melted. Don’t forget to stir constantly-it’s very important as the wax can harden up in a matter of seconds if it’s not stirred.

While you are stirring, add the honey, the aloe vera, the almond extract, and the vitamin E. Lastly, add the lemon essential oil.
