Seventeen magazine is telling its readers online how to get the hippie look with headbands here.  The gist of it is to layer headbands starting at the hairline and putting 3-4 more above them.  Secure them with bobby pins by the ears. 

I have never seen or heard of this before.  Interesting concept but it looks, to me, more like a cap (and a cap would be easier to keep secure on the head it seems like).
