My almost a teen daughter came to me yesterday and wanted me to find out where we could buy scarves with the peace sign printed on them. Her friends have them and it’s one of two items she’s asked me to get her for the new scho0l year (I’ll get to the other in another post). I’ve found them at several places with price ranges all over the place. Here’s a few places you can check out if your child has it on the “back to school” shopping list:

I found this sweet outfit yesterday for my pre-schooler. It was $12 at Wal-Mart in the girls section and came with a top, skirt, and leggings. Seeing how cute it was, I bought another one for my size 8 third grader in a different color. I’m going to get them a cute pair of ballet slippers for the warmer part of Fall and then a pair of little black boots to take the outfit into the cooler months. At that price, I could clothe my children inexpensively but still keep them cute!

I saw this girls clothing commercial today that had some really cute fashions on it called Mad Style (by True Jackson). I thought it was cute so I looked it up online and the prices were great! Come to find out, they’re offered at Wal-Mart! Who doesn’t have a Wal-Mart nearby? Just about everybody I’d think.
Wal-Mart didn’t show the high top tennis shoes I saw but the Mad Styleweb site had them and they are ADORABLE! They had blue, pink, and green plaid. I’m adding them to my school shopping list for my eight-year-old and maybe adding them to my preschooler’s list too!
Flannel is everywhere. I have not seen this much flannel since the 1980′s when it was on gift lists year after year. I had black and red myself. I am seeing it in the junior department of clothing stores now as the new trend. They’re even putting the flannel pattern on shoes. I never thought that it would make a comeback but what comes around, goes around!

“Natural” is THE color this Fall to have and to wear according to Style. Whether you call it natural, sand, or brown, or something else altogether, it’s the hue to be seen in on your arm as a purse or on your feet as boots. I’ll be looking for a pair of “natural” boots to go with my fake lambskin shearling winter coat this year.
