Last year was my first year ever wearing a summer dress. I guess I had never felt comfortable in them before, until I found a maxi dress that fit and I fell in love with them. Now I am so excited, because I have seen some really amazing styles and prints out there! What summer fashions are your favorite?

I love to sew and made a few maxi skirts for me and my nine year old daughter Michaela. She has not been a huge fan of wearing dresses or skirts, but now loves her new maxi dresses that I got for her this year. What are some of your Spring and Summer must haves?

I may be jumping the gun a little here, considering there is still some snow on the ground where I live.Last summer while shopping I had tried on a maxi skirt and fell in love. It was towards the end of the season so I was totally bummed when the cool air of fall and winter had come swooping in so fast on us. I have been itching to wear my skirts again so I wanted to find a couple more to add to the wardrobe, I found this most this adorable Chevron Maxi Skirt in black and cream.

Wearing a Maxi Skirt will elongate your figure, {Who doesn’t love that, right?}. I love wearing my maxi skirts to the beach, shopping and even to my son’s T-ball games. These skirts are a great summer wardrobe staple, a must have if you will!!

Layers of Ruffles Leggings

I fell in love with a pair identical to these Layers of Ruffles Leggings in Omaha, Nebraska on vacation, they were in a boutique and had a very steep price tag, one I just could not pay. I have since been looking for a great pair, however crafty I am, I have yet to create my own. I love that they are made out of what I call “comfy pants”, great soft fabric. You could easily wear them to bed, lounge around in them, wear them for every day, what ever you feel. You could dress them up with a pair of heels or dress them down with a pair of running shoes.

 

These fun legging ruffled capri leggings are available in sizes small to large and also come in colors black, charcoal grey, and brown. These would make a great gift for a friend, or for yourself. Now that I have seen them I may have to buy them, since I will have no time to create my own with school starting soon. I can’t wait to curl up with a good book in a pair of my own ruffled leggings!
