Prom is fast approaching. Are you excited? I love seeing all of the hot trends and what’s in store for the prom season. What do you think of some of the trends this year?
Long prom dresses are the thing this year. I feel like it goes back and forth between the long and short lengths, but this year the top sellers were the longer lengths.
Asymmetrical necklines are a fun way to add a little “pizazz” to a dress. This also provides some great detailing so a necklace isn’t necessary.
A bedazzled bustier keeps the emphasis on the top of the dress since the all-over bling gets a little overwhelming (and not to mention, makes the dress super heavy!). This is a fun way to add a little sparkle and shine without going over the top.
What are your favorite prom trends of 2013?
One huge difference between girls and guys is girls LOVE fancy things and Guys…, wait just a second, I guess yes Guys also LOVE fancy things. But the real difference is that girls admittedly love fancy things and guys pretend that fancy things are not that important. Anyone know what I mean? The fancy things that are important to guys are not usually the fancy things that are important to girls. Good example is sheets, guys don’t even care if they have sheets, girls like nice sheets with a high thread count, guys will wear holey socks, girls get the good socks, guys eat almost anything called pizza, girls will usually wait to eat for something that looks palatable.
See picture example please. I have noticed the fancy items guys do go for are anything for a vehicle, be it stereo, rims, tires, and many many more accessories. They do not spare expense on their vehicle accessories. So ladies, when you think your man might be in the market for an engagement ring, be sure he knows your taste and style. Do you prefer a simple band with a solitare, or do you prefer ornate wedding rings? Because men do not take hints well they need to know these things, after all, if you accept, you will be wearing this ring forever.
I am so excited to shop for prom dresses this year. My senior year, my senior prom, it is bittersweet. The one night I know I get to dress like a princess, and this may very well be the last time until my wedding. Per my usual I will go with a long prom dress for prom. It seems a bit backwards but for the winter formal I have always worn short prom dresses and for prom it has always been long prom dresses. Maybe that does make sense when I think about it because I wear a long fur coat for the winter formal and for Prom I don’t need a coat, if it is chilly I have a little more coverage with a long dress.
I have decided on pink for the color and narrowed the dresses down to three. Luckily for me I have a bit of time to decide still, it is such a hard choice though. They are three different shades and all gorgeous. This will take some serious consideration with my best friends, I will call in some consulting time with them. That’s what friends are for right? A little discussion, some pop and pizza, and suddenly things are more clear.
Have you ever been at a loss for a gift idea for a friend? Here are 4 Scrabble Wine Charms, that would make the perfect gift. The ladies in my family oodle over them, some even get uber excited. At all the different holidays, every brings a charm or charms that we all use on our wine glasses. These Wine Charms make great house warming gifts. You could also attach these to a bottle of wine as a gift.
If you are getting married, these 4 Scrabble Wine Charms would make great Bridesmaid gifts attached to a bottle of wine. You will never accidentally drink from Aunt Ginnie’s glass again. These salvaged Scrabble tiles are transformed into unique wine glass charms, you can request specific letters as well. I love the idea of the Scrabble tiles repurposed as wine charms. This is a fun unique gift that is surly to bring smiles and many “CHEERS” along the way.
Here is an adorable backpack in a swirl tutti fruity pattern. This MONOGRAMMED Small Preschool Daycare Backpack is the perfect size for your child’s day at preschool or daycare. I love the tutti fruity pattern, it is very fun and bright. Backpacks these days are so intense, so big and bulky. This Small Preschool Daycare Backpack is the perfect size for heading out the door for a half day at preschool or even heading out to day care. Do away with diaper bags that when tipped over, spill their contents.
This is a great light weight, easy for your little one to carry from the car into school or daycare. This backpack is the perfect size measuring only 12″ L x 5″W x 14″ H and has adjustable straps to fit your child, big or small. Your child could carry their favorite blanket, binky, stuffed animal and still have room for a change of clothes or a couple diapers. I love that you can have your child’s initials monogrammed on the front flap.
