Shape Your Lips

Full shaped lips or pouty lips is a look many ladies love to have, but just how do you get that shape?
Apply lipliner at the center of your natural upper lip line to define the bow then work toward the outer corners to complete the line.
Start at one corner of your bottom lip then follow your natural lip line all the way to the other corner.
To get plumper, pinker looking lips, do not touch up by drawing a hard lip line; smudge it so lips look fuller! For a more dramatic fullness, choose a lipstick shade with a hint of frost.

How Much Blush Should You Wear

You don’t want to look like a clown so make sure your cheek color is not to dramatic.

Blush should be used to enhance your complexion, not to change your natural skin tone. Use sparingly for daytime, then add more or a deeper shade for a more dramatic nighttime effect.

For special occasions, dust a lightly frosted powder over your cheekbones for a subtle but alluring glow.

Look Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed

We’ve been touching on pregnancy and new mommies a bit here and one thing we need to address is the fact that you may not FEEL glowing but you can still LOOK glowing!  Here is how to get brighter, wider eyes:

Apply one thin coat of mascara to both upper and lower lashes. For a more dramatic look, allow first coat to dry completely then apply a second coat concentrating on the base of the lash.

Tip: For a real eye-opener, use an eyelash curler before applying mascara. Curl gently at the base of the lashes, but never beyond the center of the lashes. Don’t clamp down on one spot for too long or you’ll get a sharp angle.

Tip: Don’t pump the applicator wand in the mascara tube. Doing so will trap air inside and cause the mascara to dry out. Instead, twist the wand to collect more mascara on the brush.

Maximize Your Lashes

Step 1: Use an eyelash curler to curl the base of your lashes first. Hold for 15 seconds. If you find that your lashes don’t curl as easily, heat your eyelashes curler with a blow drier for a few seconds and try again.

Step 2: After you’ve curled the base, use your lash curler at the halfway point of your lashes. Hold for another 15 seconds.

Step 3: The final step involves curling your lashes at the tips to get the maximum lash curl. Hold for 15 seconds yet again and release.

Swipe on a lengthening mascara such as Lise Watier 24hrs Glam Mascara or Maybelline Stiletto.

Does Your Makeup Last

It’s quite possible that your makeup fades about 2 hours after you put it on. If that’s the case, here are some tips to make your makeup last!

1. Moisturize

Moisturizing is one of the most important steps you can do even before you think about putting on your makeup. When moisturizing, your skin will help absorb the makeup and also keep it in place. If you apply concealer without moisturizing, your skin will just flake, and you’ll end up with blochy, dry spots.

2. Primer

Second most important step in makeup durability is the primer. Choose a silicone-based primer which is amazing at helping to keep your makeup in place all night long. The silicone primers will give your skin a silky smooth finish and will also make sure your foundation stays put.

3. Prep the Eyes

Before putting on eyeshadow, make sure you cleanse your lids and then proceed with a thin layer of foundation. This will ensure that you don’t get those nasty creases.

4. Powder

After you’ve applied your foundation, finish off with a matte powder to put everything in place and so that your foundation doesn’t come off.
