Skin and Beauty

It’s January and that means most of us stay indoors. The weather makes it uninviting to be outside, that is, unless of course you’re a snow bunny! We’re going to not only focus on great shopping ideas but also on some wonderful beauty ideas. Spend time indoors and experiement with different hairstyles and makeup products. Then emerge in the spring looking absiolutely stunning and refreshed!

Smart Heat Blow Dryer Seen on The View

I don’t turn the ladies on at The View much lately because I am usually busy in the mornings but something on this morning caught my eye while I was working.  It’s called the Smart Heat Hair Dryer.  You set it according to your hair type (synthetic, coarse, etc.).  My hair is very hard to manage with its coarse texture with a little bit of wave.  It usually ends up as frizz.  So I went looking for it and I found it at Sally Beauty and at Amazon where I found the Gold N Hot Elite Smart Heat Professional Ionic Hair Dryer.  Any help I can get to tame this frizz is great!

Glamour Showing Real Women

Stick-thin?  Bony?  Gaunt?  Is that beautiful?

Glamour is showcasing supermodel women who are considered “plus-size” in the modeling industry.  They’d be “average” size by most people’s normal society standards walking down Main Street.  There are bulges and dimples in the photo gallery!  Some are naked.  Some are eating in the photos (Models eating?  Yup!).  It’s not your average magazine shoot and I like it!  There’s a really pretty one of two women (Miller size 12-14 and Renn size 12) who are smiling and they look healthy!

Cindy Crawford’s Meaningful Beauty Line

So I am at the eye doctor’s office the other day and a commercial comes on with Cindy Crawford on it.  She is around 42 years old and looks great.  So, what’s her secret?

She uses a line of products called Meaningful Beauty.  It’s a line of products with extracts from a melon only found in France.  It’s called cantaloupe charentais and their web site says it is rare.  The web site for Meaningful Beauty also says:

“…exclusive age maintenance skin care system that helps rejuvenate the skin and diminish the visible signs of aging. Each treatment formula contains a minimum of 7 key ingredients, including a patented melon extract, loaded with a powerful “first generation” antioxidant. Used as directed, Meaningful Beauty’s formulas are designed to help smooth the appearance of fine lines, brighten the complexion, and diminish skin roughness and redness in just four weeks.”

I looked up cantaloupe charentais for more information for those of us who don’t live in France.  Cantaloupe charentais is too fragile to ship but you can grow your own.  I found the seeds at Amazon!
